Dr. Candace Higney

Born and raised on the South Shore of Nova Scotia, Dr. Candace Higney attended high school at Park View Education Centre in Bridgewater. Having been a competitive athlete in multiple sports throughout school, Dr. Candace soon found herself struggling with back pain. After learning about chiropractic through some family members, she became a patient of Dr. Ian’s and discovered the amazing benefits of chiropractic treatment. She then attended Mount Allison University where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology, as well as being a member of the women’s varsity soccer team during her four years there. Dr. Candace continued her education at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto where she recently graduated Magna Cum Laude and earned her Doctor of Chiropractic.

Dr. Candace is thrilled to be back home on the South Shore to provide chiropractic treatment to her community. She practices using a variety of tools including chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapy, rehabilitative exercise, neurofunctional acupuncture, flexion-distraction, low-level laser therapy and orthotics. She enjoys treating many types of conditions ranging from back and neck pain, headaches, sports injuries, tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, and many more.

When not in the office, you can find Dr. Candace at the dog park with her husky puppy, Arya, cooking up new recipes, spending time with friends and family and playing soccer or volleyball.
